Place this module on a structure and connect it to its appropriate computer to either enable that system or enhance an existing one.

Piercing Effect Modules much like any other enhancer module are designed to increase the power and effectiveness of its associated system. As an effect system this module will have differing effects depending on whether or not the effect computer is connected to a weapon system.

Offensively: Increasing the module count ratio on a piercing enhanced weapon will slightly increase the weapon's damage output as well as add a damage bleed effect. Damage to blocks will bleed into the adjacent block(s) if the block before it was destroyed. This damage bleed will continue until there is no more remaining damage to pass on. The module count ratio can be seen in the Weapons menu.

Defensively:Increasing the mass-to-module ratio on a ship will increase the effectiveness of you ship's block armor rating. At max efficiency (15%) the amount of damage that each block on your ship will be able to negate will have increased by 15%. At this state Advanced Armor blocks will negate 90% of incoming damage while standard armor will stop 75%.
