Adjacency in Starmade typically requires two blocks to share more than a single line in the way mathematical adjacency does. In Starmade, blocks must share at least one entire facet, adjoined along a single plane in order to be adjacent

Adjacent blocks of the same kind in Starmade typically act as a single component. Adjacency has substantial benefits for some blocks, no effect for others.
