Stop Effect Computers are the controller computer for Stop Effect systems. The functionality of this system changes depending on whether or not it is linked to a weapon system. If it is slaved to a weapon system it converts weapon damage to stop momentum, preventing them from moving. If not then it can be used to allow ships to negate the effects of gravity, allowing them to fly uninhibited through strong gravity wells.

The Stop Effect Computer must be connected to at least one Stop Effect Module (using C and V) to have any effect.
Offensive
When Connected to a Weapons System as a tertiary effect, block damage will be converted into a braking effect, holding the target in place.
Defensive
When disconnected from other weapons, the Stop Effect Computer can be toggled on to allow the ship to move unaffected by the forces of gravity.
